QSTART 2027 is a two-week summer school introducing graduate students and junior researchers in representation theory to the mathematical foundations and current research directions of quantum computation. Participants will leave with a working command of the language of qubits, circuits, measurement, algorithms, topological phases, error correction, and diagrammatic quantum reasoning. The school is built around structures already familiar to representation theorists — tensor products, string diagrams, braidings, fusion rules, module categories, topological field theories, and quantum groups — and aims to show how existing expertise in representation theory can contribute directly to quantum information science.
